Healthy Living Programme at Putney Bridge Nursery

Healthy Eating and Living in Mandarin Ducklings Putney Bridge Nursery

Healthy Eating

Our Healthy Eating Programme at our Putney Bridge nursery encompasses much more than just the diverse array of nutritious meals prepared by our chef. It integrates an educational component where children learn about different foods and gain an understanding of their origins. This holistic approach includes engaging the children in gardening activities and cooking experiences, allowing them to be actively involved in the journey from garden to table. Moreover, we encourage our older children to take part in preparing snacks for their groups, fostering a sense of responsibility and teamwork. This comprehensive programme not only educates them about healthy eating habits but also instills valuable life skills.
Gardening at our putney bridge nursery
From March to October, children grow vegetables, learning about plant life cycles, seasonal growth, and helpful insects. Hands-on gardening builds skills and deepens their connection to nature and healthy living.
Being Active and Physical Education
At our Putney Bridge nursery, children enjoy an active education in our natural garden and paddock. They engage in climbing, sand play, Forest School activities, and sports. Our partnership with Fulham Football Club Foundation offers weekly football classes, promoting teamwork and physical development.
