About Our Childcare in South West London

Little Ducklings proudly opened its first nursery in Twickenham/St Margaret’s in 2013, and we’ve recently expanded with a new location in the Putney Bridge area, launched in June 2022. We are delighted to extend our unique approach to early years education to more families across South West London, offering them the exceptional care and learning experiences that Little Ducklings is known for.

Montessori-Inspired Learning

At Little Ducklings, we follow the Montessori teaching method, which focuses on each child’s physical and psychological development. This approach encourages independence, creativity, and hands-on learning through meaningful and engaging activities. By fostering a love for learning early on, we help children build confidence and essential life skills.

Learning Through Nature

We strongly believe in the power of outdoor learning. Many of our traditional educational activities take place outside, allowing children to connect with nature while they learn and play. This not only enhances their sensory experiences but also encourages curiosity about the world around them. Given the increased screen time and indoor activities in recent years, our approach ensures that children develop a deep appreciation for nature and an active lifestyle.

Multi-lingual Exposure from an Early Age

Children have a remarkable ability to absorb languages, and we harness this by introducing Mandarin from the earliest stages. As they grow, older children (around three years old) also have the opportunity to learn a European language—either French or Spanish—depending on the nursery they attend. Language learning is an integral part of the Little Ducklings experience, and it is truly rewarding to see children proudly share their new phrases and songs with their families.
